Our Story

Creating Spaces Where People Can Truly Belong

At CLEAN, our journey is a testament to the transformative power of faith, community, and compassion. Our story begins with a deep commitment to creating spaces where individuals can truly belong, bless others, believe in Jesus, and become passionate lovers of Christ, servants in the kingdom of God, connected in vibrant relationships, and cultivators of the same space for others.

We understand the pressing issue of addiction and the impact it has on individuals and communities. Our mission is to be a conduit of God's love, and this mission drives our every step. Our approach is firmly rooted in creating what we call "third places" – neutral ground where people feel known, accepted, and they truly belong. It's about community, authenticity, friendship, and experiencing Clean Groups, which offer opportunities for everyone, regardless of their faith or background, to find meaning, purpose, fulfillment, and delight in life.

The Transformative Power of Community

What makes our story unique is our unwavering commitment to blessing others and our journey is defined by the people we've had the privilege of helping. We've seen lives transformed. Individuals who were once lost and caught in addiction now walk the path of sobriety and health, thanks to the transformative power of our community. They struggled for years, attempting to break free from the chains of addiction. They prayed fervently and sought help from trusted confidants, but they were unable to find the way out.

It was only when they discovered CLEAN that their journey towards freedom began. Our groups provide a safe space for them to discuss their struggles and explore the root causes of their addiction. Today, their lives are marked by honesty and purity, all because they found a community in CLEAN.

The story doesn't end with personal transformation. Our vision is to take the love, healing, and hope we've found in our community and pay it forward to others. We use every penny of profit for addiction recovery in the Portland area and beyond. Our goal is to establish recovery centers, resources, group meeting sites, and even a place for church services, all fueled by the net-profit we generate.

Our Mission

In a world where addiction affects millions, CLEAN's mission to create spaces for healing, belonging, and spiritual growth is more critical than ever. Our story is about people in the process, doing life with others who are also in the process. It's about building vibrant communities that extend the circle of divine compassion. Through this mission, we aim to make sure that no one is left outside of it.

CLEAN is not just a nonprofit organization; it's a beacon of hope, a sanctuary of healing, and a testament to the power of community in transforming lives. Our story is still being written, and we invite you to be a part of it. Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of individuals seeking transformation and bring hope and healing to those who need it most.
