Welcome to the Clean Life

We cultivate spaces of community and belonging for anyone seeking positive growth and change in their life.

Community. Belonging. Renewal.

Clean exists to cultivate spaces of community and belonging for those seeking recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. We also have options for anyone looking for community and connection without the need for addiction recovery.

If you’re seeking a safe space to engage in vibrant relationships while taking practical steps toward a positive change in your life, contact us to find out more about our in-person events. Or, check our events page to see where we’re headed next.

Did you know?

"The opposite of addiction is not sobriety. The opposite of addiction is connection."   - Johann Hari

Clean Groups

Loneliness poses a threat to our physical and mental well-being. We're made for connection, to know and be known. Knowing this, we've created Clean Groups: safe, judgement-free spaces where people can belong and connect with others.

Clean Groups meet in-person on a regular basis throughout Portland, OR. Everyone is invited, whether you're simply looking for more connections & friendly faces, or if you're in need of deeper help.

Visit our Clean Groups page if you're interested in visiting a group or want more info.

Clean Bar

Dry bar, sober bar, clean bar...call it what you want, but they all have one thing in common: 100% non-alcoholic drinks on the menu. We currently host frequent Clean Bar pop-ups throughout Portland, OR with custom drinks crafted by our own crew of seasoned bartenders.

Visit our Clean Bar website and get on our mailing list so you'll know when we're hosting our next pop-up bar.

Come for the drinks, stay for the exceptional community and conversation. Everyone is welcome.

Clean Recovery

You want help? We've got it. All you've gotta do is ask.

We’re a group of peers and mentors who understand the power of inclusion and positive community on all aspects of life. If you're in need of help and resources to overcome an addiction, please head to our resources page.

We've got a network of trained counselors and addiction recovery professionals to walk with you on every step of your journey. We also have a highly recommended list of books and recovery resources that we're happy to share with you.

The quality of our social connections is directly related to our well-being.
When we frequently experience healthy connections and relationships, we also experience more...

Happiness

We were made for community and connection. Healthy interactions with others allows us to process our experiences and creates space for laughter and lightheartedness.

Physical Health

Positive social connection and healthy relationships decrease immune dysfunction, which boosts physical health. When we're in good company, we take better care of ourselves.

Mental Health

High quality social connections decrease anxiety and depression, leading to better mental health. Positive emotions and thoughts release dopamine and serotonin (AKA, the body's natural "happy" chemicals).

Peace

People with healthy connections and relationships experience less stress and more peace.

Success

More happiness, better physical & mental health, plus a healthy dollop of peace creates a recipe for increased efficiency and your ability to achieve goals.

Sleep

Not just any sleep--restorative sleep. When our bodies are physically & mentally healthy, with more peace of mind, we naturally experience better sleep--which lays the foundation for a fulfilling and productive day.
